On a completely different note, if you like Ambergris and Patchouli scents, check out Balmain's new fragrance "Ambre Gris". Not that I'm suggesting you use it instead of PurSleep. But it's a nice perfume.
I share your admiration for Patchouli. I am toying around with adding a tiny bit to Fresh, which is lacking what perfumers call a "basenote." There are some very nice tangerine blends on the market that are anchored with patchouli. Very nice.

Be aware that anything branded as "ambergris" is synthetic. The real stuff is a digestive byproduct (out of the mouth, not the other end) of certain whales. It's extremely rare and far more valuable (by weight) than gold.

Oh yeah, I remember you telling me that early on, about ambergris. This perfume attempts to capture the essence of ambergris by combining other scents, rather than using a synthetic ambergris. Not that it might not contain synthetic scents, but it's a French perfume, and if does, it's high quality and not as "barfy" (obvious pun intended) as the synthetic scents the American perfume industry uses.

Anyway, this is an entirely OFF TOPIC discussion. Don't use perfume on your PurSleep pads, unless you're CERTAIN you wanna snort that stuff all night. I think it would be way too strong for ME.

LOL,
B.

Babs, I'm with you on this one. A tiny bit of Patchouli goes a long ways for me. I do like it as a part of a blend I made though.

I'm curious about pursleep, but have resisted asking for samples ... not sure why, probably just don't want to bother other people.

So ... in the meantime, I have been experimenting with my own collection of essential oils. I place a few drops on a cotton cosmetic pad and place it on a little dish behind my cpap machine's intake filter. It certainly smell nice, but the scent doesn't last too long, depending on which oil I used.

I also noticed that the filter pad appear to be dirtier on the side where I had placed the essential oil dish and cleaner on the other side.

Anybody noticed anything similar with pursleep? Maybe ... if it's not too late, I would like to request some to try out as well. (keeping my hopes up).

I've been working on the delivery system (along with a bunch of other people) for going on three years now and learned some tricks along the way. I am still circulating samples to cpap patients who belive they could benefit from the product though I can't promise how much longer I'll be able to devote the necessary time to that program. On the other hand I am having a lot of fun giving this stuff away and taking in the feedback. It's kind of like giving out free candy samples to kids in a candy store. One note: I am no longer able to fill custom sample requests; I ship the standard sample kit (Clear, Spice, Calm, and Peace).

If you are looking at the starter set and thinking that is a lot of money to get started, once you have tried the samples, why not then just buy the 5ml or 15ml of your favorite scent .. it comes wiht the difusion pad .. and you would be set!

I love my PurSleep!

Quick question. Does it create an aroma in the room? The wife might object and she's REAL sensitve to smells... more so than me, anyway

Depends upon how much you use .. if you only use 1 drop, it would be plenty (for me) to go through my machine but others in the room are not able to smell it. Now, if I used more, i am sure they could ..

Actual customer feedback on cpap.com:
My wife loves all of the aromas except Spice. So whenever we have an argument I just load up on the Spice and sleep like a baby.
Yes, it really depends on how much you use but remember that we're talking about very small amounts of natural aromatics. Unless she hates Wrigleys Doublemint gum or the smell from peeling a real orange, she'll be fine.
