I will fight the BORGS!!!
I will let you guys know what happens tomorrow night. I'm betting that I still will not have a new machine.

This is dopey, but...why does a ResMed APAP have EPR? Aren't they the same thing?

No. EPR is exhale relief and APAP is adjusting pressures to events.

Well, I got my new machine. It is a respironics M series model DS500HS. It is an auto with heated humidifier but It does not have A flex, C only. That dosent really bother me. I also had a different resp tech set it up for me than the originals. I am guessing that I intimidated the first bunch and they sent in a specialist to deal with the "difficult" customer. Guess what? I knew the tech, we talked and I explained what I wanted and she told me she understood why I had been so adamant, but she had to set up the machine as was laid out on the prescription. I had no problems. I expected to get some used old system with a passover humidifier and the card missing, but no, it was new and had everything except for A flex. That taught me a lesson. Hold your line, make em supply what you want, dont settle.

Congratulations! I wouldn't fret too much about the A-Flex feature.....some of the folks who have the model with A-Flex end up not using (or liking) that feature anyway.
