Can't edit my own posts

I agree with sws -- I don't have the edit button on my posts anymore although it was fine last night. I've just check and I'm definitely signed in.

I thought I had seen something like this yesterday, soon after the board was active again. I could not see the edit button at times, but then I did see it once. Now I do not have edit on a previous msg on this thread of yesterday.-SWS wrote:If this is a bug, it just started the morning of August 14th: I can successfully log in using Firefox 2.0.0.16, but do not have the EDIT button available for any of my own posts.

On edit: I now have the ability to edit this post (my most recent post) but still cannot edit any of my previous posts, including this morning's post on this page:

I am a registered user, just look above, see ^^^^ and you're an administrator? When I went to post, it showed up as a guest?TrinhVu wrote:I think only Registered user can edit their post. Don't think guests are allowed to, so you must login.Guest wrote:Trying again,
1) There is no edit button
2) There's nothing to let you know if you're logged in or not?
3) There's no spellcheck ?
Could you please fix these issues, thank you, MikDee
Yes, I think there must be a time limit (was there one before?), because I just came back on and any post I've made more than about 30 minutes ago doesn't have the "edit" option. I know some forums have a time limit, but I didn't think this one did before. Could be wrong, though.feeling_better wrote:I thought I had seen something like this yesterday, soon after the board was active again. Edited: I am using the edit button to edit this soon after posting. Does the edit get removed after a time period? Edit is a very useful function to have, once notices errors in one's posting sometimes long after posting it
I agree that it's either a bug or just a policy change regarding editing privileges. And if it is a policy change I'm not exactly fond of that new editing restriction.WearyOne wrote:Yes, I think there must be a time limit (was there one before?), because I just came back on and any post I've made more than about 30 minutes ago doesn't have the "edit" option. Ditto. In fact, I'm now logged in on Firefox AND IE7.frapilu wrote:MikDee, I'm using IE7 and my login is fine.

Hi, My Name is Chris Brown and I work for CPAPtalk.new-to-BiPAP wrote: 1st, I have not been able to successfully do a search yet. I tried to search for a previous post of time but it didn't find any. Then I thought I'd look for something easy so I typed in 'AHI'...still nothing and surely there are posts with that in them...
Thanks!

I do not see this problem here. For this one, I hit the quote, and the cursor was past the end quote and then I wrote this. So there is a non deterministic problem? BTW, even end quote tag inside a double quotes will be taken as the real tag, so I had to remove the above word from your msg, before doing this.Wulfman wrote:To repeat what I believe someone else mentioned, I just noticed that the end-quote (word deleted) isn't being added to the end of the quoted post when you hit the "Quote" button on a post.

Hey, Chris-- Thanks! And kudos for what you guys did! Keep up the great work!SleepPunk wrote: Hi, My Name is Chris Brown and I work for CPAPtalk.
We are addressing the issues that have been mentioned, one at a time.
We have greatly improved the search over the old forum, but right now you can only search using 4 up to 84 characters. So, searching for 'AHI' or 'DME' or 'S8' won't work right now. We are going to drop it down to allow 2 up to 84 characters. We expect to have this fix installed by Monday morning.
Thanks for your patience and feedback. We are hard at work fixing other issues here as well.
Oops! Thanks - It's not really my b-day. I had that there to test out some of the new features.bdp522 wrote:Thanks for the info Chris...and...
