Hey Babs there IS hope!!
My youngest daughter doesn't usually make good choices in her selection of men. She likes the "bad boy" type and wonders why they treat her like dirt, although I do have to admit I have seen her throw dirt as well.
I think she may have found a keeper with the one she is with now. We keep waiting for the other "shoe" to drop and find out he IS a serial killer with the charming personality. They have been together for a few months and she is now living with him and so far she hasn't scared him away. A good sign.
We have always said they switched babies on us at the hospital. You didn't have a daughter in 84 that might possibly be the one I raised? LOL!!
Please Please be careful!!

I think this is now a dead thread.
No email or call from either guy in several days. I think they've found other entertainment.

Well, it's Official. He just sent me an email with a long-winded explanation of why he can't do dinner tonight.
I'm officially dogged.
And while I COULD call Guy #2, he IS 54, a considerable age gap, and he lives 40 miles north of me, and why bother, since he's probably hooked up with someone else anyway?
Sigh.... Maybe I'll just pray the next hormonal surge doesn't involve me and Craigslist.

Honey, if I could meet a man who lived in my zip code, I would.
So far, most of them are MARRIED and looking for a PLAYTHING.
No wonder I date "bad boys." At least they show up for dates, and I'm not surprised when they act like a-holes.
Hey, a couple of cigarrettes, a happy meal from Mickey-D's and a Lyle Lovett CD are easing my pain.

Yeah you would have to buy two masks and two machines when they inherit your airway.
Or maybe they would get lucky and one of them would have an open airway. During sleep he could breathe for the whole body while the other one choked down.

Have you tried any "old" "rich" men? My son dated older women for a while (he was in his early 20's) and they were in their 50's and 60's. Said it was the best sex he ever had and no worries about making babies. They supposedly taught him lots of tricks -- didn't ask questions. On the other hand maybe you want a younger man that has sex on his mind!!

Babette, I am sorry the one guy flaked, but don't discount the older guy. They have often greater respect for women, will remember to hold the door open for you, etc., and good sex doesn't necessarily go out the window at that age. I'm just sayin'...unless you're feeling totally wounded right now, it might not hurt to at least meet the 54-year-old. You just never know where your Mr. Right might be hiding.

Babs...as my Irish father would say "pull yourself up by your bootstraps and move on". Certainly easier said than done, but know there is a reason, could be divine intervention, why you are not meant to meet him. Hang tough girlfriend, tomorrow is a new day!
