BTW, the Liberty is a poor choice for a full face mask.

I really find the FFM and Nasal Mask's forehead rest to be very uncomfortable. I started on the Ultra Mirage II (I declined to mention that mask since I hated it so much but it was number 1 of 4 in the numbers mentioned above).
I may have to suck it up, though. Or try a Swift LT and the new PapCap.

[quote="sleeplessinaz"]Hi There---please hang in there. Most of us hate the CPAP but we do it because it makes us feel better in the follow day.

So do I, but I just keep going and going, and going (just like the DURACELL) and try to sike myself up at night just to attach that big bulgy monsterous looking mask to my face, I feel like it's halloween every night when I go to bed,
Hang in there, it will get better and better and easier & easier and you will eventually except it, there are all kinds of hurdles we have to overcome when we first start this therapy then when we think we've got it down pat, it seems to start all over again, especially with the masks!
Just keep posting for support..
Goodluck!

My wife says she's going to get me a fully pressurized "Space Helmet". NO more leaks!

I seem to be going through the same as you at the moment. After three months on cpap I thought I was finally turning the corner but now I have nothing but problems, be it leaks from my previously reliable Hybrid, aerophagia or just general discomfort.
Currently I'm using three masks a night. Not good.
Resmed have loaned me a Quattro but I've had no luck with that one. The fit appears to be fine and I can get an ok seal when lying on my back but it leaks into my eyes when sleeping on my side. I've used it for a week now and will probably return it.

I use a Quattro. I have a similar situation, where it's fine for a month then starts to quickly go south.
Replacing the cushion brings things back on track for me. My guess is my skin oils are acidic or something and etch the surface of the seal (back when I played trumpet I had to use leather wraps or my hands would burn through the lacquer and eat away the brass).
That's just me. YMMV, but maybe it's at least something to try.

If you can keep from mouth breathing and are able to use nasal pillows, you really need to try a Headrest. Mine (with the rubber band mod) works much better for me than the Swift did.

same here. mask was working great for a couple months now all it does is leak leak. it's driving me nuts. I try to get a different mask off of cpapauction only to get burned by seller.

I actually don't mind the hose, the treatment at all. I am used to it, and can't sleep without it. I have no issues any longer from having to wear equipment to bed, the hose doesn't wake me up, I sleep fine with the pressure going. I am quite adjusted to the lifestyle, that's not the problem.
The problem is that I'm getting sick of trying new things to stop leaks. This is ridiculous. Does anyone try these masks before they're introduced? How many interfaces do I have to try to find one that works? I'm up to 4 now, in 2.5 months.

I think part of the problem is that successful CPAP is really more of an art than a science. It would be great if machine X using mask Y with cushion Z at pressure X.X provided perfect restful 8+ hours of sleep to everyone all of the time, but it doesn't seem to work that way. It seems like sometimes you have to coax the machine/mask/settings to give you that wonderful night's sleep we all know exists and some of us have had a taste of. About a month into CPAP I thought I had it pretty well figured out. Then one night I could not get any mask, cushion or fix to work to stop my leaks. I was ready to either toss the whole setup and smash it to pieces or superglue the mask to my face for the night. I did neither, but changed the placement of my Mack's gasket slightly and rolled it about half as thin as before, and everything was fine again.
Keep on trying, there is a solution there that will work for you, its just a matter of time and patience. I hope you find it soon.
