honestly i didn't care for it. ...i never turned out the light before i had it off and back to the swift II....it is now on cpapauction - my loss, just didn't have the patience with it

I have to agree with deerslayer. I have been on CPAP for nearly two years now, and I have tried many masks with my DME. It took me a while to find one that worked well for me, but eventually I settled on the Swift II (I had actually tested on the Swift I so it wasn't such a big jump for me). The swift II worked fine for me other than the side sleeping restriction which is why I was so eager to try out the new LT. Here are my observations:

The pillows are much larger so I found it much harder to actually gain a proper seal. Now, please don't misunderstand me, it held the seal fine (once gained), but it did take a while to get a good "fit."

With a real good seal, it is quieter than the Swift II, but not by much, and like I said earlier, tough to achieve.

The real reason I didn't like it though was the headgear. The two stabilizers (I think that is what they are, the two pieces that do a 90 degree turn right near your nose) dig into my face. I found them VERY uncomfortable and they ultimately caused my face to become irritated. Mind you, it wasn't the fabric, it was the design (Please note: I am not a very large man, my face is actually narrow so you may have a different result if you are built differently than I). After 3 days of sleeping lousy or not at all, I switched back to the Swift II and I am much happier.

I really do hope you find this helpful. I read many reviews before choosing to purchase anything with regard to CPAP so I felt like I was due to give back to the community. Good luck.

Had Johnny Goodman posted the review, I’m pretty sure I would not have viewed it as a marketing pitch and I would have taken Johnny’s review seriously … for that, I would like to make a public apology for my skepticism of Positive Air regarding his review of the Swift LT.

If it means anything to the rest of the members, I would like to add that I have now used the Swift LT for almost a week and find that Positive Air’s reviews (for intial post on this thread and thread link below) are very much in line with my own experience with the Swift LT. Any additional observations? Did you have positive results with no strap marks?

I tried the swift LT for 1 night and got very little sleep do to leaking and pressure on my nose. I woke up with a very sore snout. The second night I tried readjusting the headgear and got frustrated after about 5 minutes just trying to get a seal that was not pushing so hard on my nose. I went back to my Breeze with nasal pillows that I have been using few the past several years. I wanted to try the Swift LT because the pillows on the Breeze seem to not last very long and then they do not hold the seal very well. I saw the Swift at the home med supplier's store and they told me it was the greatest thing since sliced bread so I wanted to try it.

I recently have been using the Swift LT II and I am a newbie of 1 1/2 months. The LT II is nice for side sleepers, comfort and it being light. However being a newbie I am having a lot of leaks mostly because of my mouth popping wide open at night, I have allergies with a plugged nose and it dont help anything

I have used the Swift II for 2 nights so far and it is the most comfortable mask I have used. I am actually able to get some sleep. Since I am having hot flashes, wearing a full face or any kind of mask on my face had been a real problem. This new design is great.
