How do I get a copy of Encore view plus...and can you make adjustments to the settings that have been turned off or locked out of by the DME?

First of all, you can get EncorePro Analyzer without emailing James, by following the link to his web page where you also have an opportunity to donate to the cause.

http://james.istop.com/EncoreProAnalyzer/

The program does not work with EncoreViewer, but requires EncorePro 1.8 which is distributed only to clinicians or to certain folks who know how to search a bit torrent.

Adjusting the machine is easiest just by entering the setup menu...just unplug the machine and hold down the two top keys << >> while you plug it back in.

Sleeprider,

He wasn't asking about EPA - he was asking about EncoreViewer as in another thread he has going .... where his questions were answered....

I loaded and am running Encore Pro 2.2 on Windows Vista with no trouble. I loaded Encore Pro Analyser and when I launch it I get the following message.

(a network related or instance-specific error occured while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider:Named Pipes Provider, error;40-Could not oppen a connection to SQL Server")

I set it to run as administrator but it made no difference. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Yeah. Give up on running EPA with the Encore Pro 2. It wasn't designed for / has not been updated to that version by Mr. Skinner (as far as I know). In fact, I'm not sure how well it worked (if it actually did) with EP 1.8.

Such is the downside of being "first on the block with the latest and greatest". It's one of the reasons I'm staying with the older Legacy models (pre-M)......the still blow air and ALL of the software works.

Yea, Pro Analyzer works great with EP 1.8. Getting the bugs out of 1.8 is the main problem. Once you do that pro Analyzer works great. The data base is different enough I don't think it will work with 2.2. James did a upgrade for Vista but so far nothing for Viewer or EP2.2. EP 2.2 is the first Encore Pro that won't read the older machines.

OK. I didn't know whether the EPA worked with the data from the Auto w/A-Flex machine. Also, I wasn't aware that the 2.2 wouldn't read the older data. More reasons I'm glad I'm "stuck" in the past......

Thanks, Jerry.

Not sure what you mean by older machines above as I have no trouble reading my non-PRS1, M-series Pro smart card with Encore Pro 2.2.

Ok I may have been mistaken. I don't have a PRS1 but I tried to load 2.2 in an old machine and got it to work once I think. I did not see a place to select the SD reader or the DT3500 so I made the assumption it would not read the older smart card. Next time I tried to get it to work it would not load. May have to work on it some more. Pro analyzer did say it could not find the data base.

I have used 1.8 to read the "M" series W/Aflex and Pro Analyzer did work fine.
