Wind is what brings out the "boardheads" up here, more so than sun. Looks like sunny and almost 70 in Lincoln City this weekend, so you should have a great time. Just stay away from the casinos!

alcohol interfers with the levels of sleep; meaning that if you drink alcohol before you go to bed you won't make it to the third and fourth level of sleep. That is the level of sleep where you are getting rested. The cpap allows you to get the the third and fourth level but the alcohol will block that level
Wow..annipe, I never knew that. Relatively speaking, still a newbie to cpap, but this post fascinated me. Since I dont take 'sleep aids' I've been having a drink before (glass of wine) bed for years, as I never slept fitfully..nor for periods lasting more than 4 hours, and not one physician has mentioned this to me.
Just assumed I had an insomia issue when even cpap didnt relieve sleep depreviation. Although, during my multiple sleep studies, I, of course wasnt drinking, but didnt reach a level past 2 of sleep, and was up at 3am and out the door. Certainly looking for a better nights' rest....no doubt, so good information, thanks for sharing.
