I just saw on the news tonight Sarah White, wife of the late Reggie White is in Milwaukee raising funds for a Reggie White Center for Sleep Disorders. It has been in the works for a year. She attributed his death to a sleep disorder, and spoke how 20 million people suffer from sleep disorders, many without insurance. So far she has the support and backing of 3 major corporations including Midwest Airlines. I hope this helps bring more public awareness to OSA and other sleep disorders. I plan on contacting her foundation to let them know about one of the big issues (as we all have read or posted here) facing newly diagnosed people, which is lack of education/instruction and support from doctors and DMEs. I would also suggest they read this forum for its wealth of information and hopefully do their homework realizing that pricing at Cpap.com is truly affordable.
(Johnny, here's an opportunity you shouldn't let pass you by.)

I was watching a TV program a few years ago, They had a NFL player that was talking and his systoms were just like mine.
This is what actually lead me to calling my dr and insisting on a sleep study.

Hi minerva,
Just goes to show you that Wikipedia is not always up to date.
There are now many, albeit unconfirmed, rumors coming out of the middle east regarding a certain celebrity Apniac in their midst. Mind you, this may just be the musings and veiled gossip of jealous sheiks and other sand castle builders trying to emulate more successful playground builders with much less sand to work with.
The sheiks do seem to be getting the last laugh though as their new found neighbor seems to be dwindling his fortune away. How big is a fortune anyway? Seems the celebrity is always getting "hosed" by his bed partners intent on suing him. The legal fees, however, are only a minor drain on his finances. The really big costs are associated with the new masks he must invariably get for proper fit with no leaking every time he gets another nose job. If you think the DME charges are high here, just try going to the middle east. The markup is horrendous on masks not to mention the filters. They need heavy duty ones and gigantic humidifiers.
Good thing though - no such thing as rainout.
Sorry Michael.
