This would be a good reason to get a APC, that way you would know if the "Mains" were looseing power. Hard to test when your sleeping. I have one circuit here that drops out for 15 sec about 4 times a day, too short to dianose. It's a line I run computers from, so my APC, jumps in and takes over, nothing misses a lick, just a shor annoying squeal for a second. Jim

I called my DME and explained the situation to him. He said he hadn't heard about a problem like this so he will talk to his RT and they both will contact the Rep from respironics and discuss it with him. He said it just might be that I have a defective machine. He said it might take a few days to get an answer. I will update everyone as soon as I get some info.

A power dip would certainly explain it.
GoofProof - YOU are wise beyond your years, lol.

Sounds like these machines are victims of Reverse Programming. They think they are supposed to CAUSE apneas, not STOP them. Or, maybe OSA is contagious and they caught it from you!

I just wanted to update everyone on the situation.. I received a new power supply from the DME to try and it apparently has solved the problem. The machine has not stopped and restarted at all since we made the change.

Good to hear. My unit actually cut off in the middle of the night -- it woke me and and I had to wait about 5 seconds for it to start back up again.
I'll pass this info along to my DME and see what they think.
