What keeps the finger thingy on with that unit? Does it clamp or ?

Arizona-Willie,
The finger thingy on the 7500 is sort of a flattened rubber thimble a little over an inch long that slips over your finger tip. The first night it was a little uncomfortable, but either I'm getting used to it or it's loosening up just a bit. After four or five nights now, It is not bothering me anymore. The wire connecting the finger sensor runs underneath the sensor back to the wrist unit.

It's a light weight, rubber, oversized thimble that slips on easy. After a few minutes, I don't even notice it. For five nights now, it hasn't fallen off even with hand under pillow. Probably mostly due to the wrist part that carries all the weight.

What surprised me was how easy it was -- put in battery and put on finger and the darn thing turns on by itself and turns itself off when you take it off.

I knew what my normal o2 sat is supposed to be and had to experiment slightly to get it positioned properly. Once I did it was right on.

Piece of cake

BrianT and I crossed in our responses .

First night I used my index finger and I could feel the pressure. Switched to pinky and had no problem.

I have to admit that I said too many rotten things about Med1Online. They made mistakes and I make plenty of them myself. And they really came through in the end - where it counts. I'm very grateful!

Don't forget, behind every cloud there's a silver lining. Occasionally the lining has tears but is able to be repaired.

Murphy must have had a field day (or month...) at their place. It's good to see they finally fixed things.
