If your new doctor doesn't work out, you may want to contact Dr. Krakow, it may pay to spend a few days in New Mexico. In my honest opinion, he maybe one of the few sleep specialists who truly understands about every aspect of the science of sleep. Just something to keep in mind.

At least he will be able to tell you if your problem is Physical, mental, or both.

Whatever happens, don't give up! I'm sure you will find a solution.

Good Luck!

There are no dependency problems with fluticasone propionate.

You are thinking about oxymetazoline (Afrin) which can cause bad rebound effect if used more than three or four days in a row.

Good to know, thanks!

I'm feeling hopeful about this new doctor. Maybe it was because I was probably the first appointment of the day, but he didn't seem to be in a hurry to shove me out the door, and said to call if I had questions, etc.

And I'm not too far away from New Mexico either, so that could be something to look into.
I am in sad need of a vacation, so maybe I could go see Dr. Krakow and get in a few days of hiking...
