My wife showed symptoms of Sleep Disordered Breathing/Complex Sleep Apnea while using Hydrocodone for pain. Her apneas and hypopneas were high no matter what pressure she used on her APAP. Centrals were a huge problem as pressure was increased. Low pressures did not lower AHI'S. Her treatment with APAP was essentially non-effective as she was as bad as she was before APAP treatment.

Upon quitting the Hydrocodone (a narcotic), her AHI's significantly dropped as well as the need for higher pressures. She is now on Norgesic (aspirin, caffeine and muscle relaxant) to help the chronic pain, is normal or near normal in AHI and feels rejuvinated with energy to spare. She sleeps soundly at night and has energy all day and into the evenings.

Hope this helps others.
