On the Respironics BiPap Auto I used them for months, but the high pressure of the SV is a different world. One set lasted about 2 weeks, another about 3
weeks.

I consider them "worn out" when they start inverting when I exhale. I never had such high pressure before, so I guess that wears them out faster. Medicare allows me two sets a month. I used the first SV roughly 3 months and used
4 pillows...and I am changing again tonight.

They lose their 'rigidity" under high pressure I guess.

HI dllfo,
I don't have high pressures (5/8.2), but I too have noticed that the nasal prongs become much more pliable after about a month. I think they have to make them so thin and soft to be comfy, and they just can't hold up too long because of that. For me, they start fluttering more after about a month.

Funny mine lasted that long. May be I hold them gently to my nose when I sleep at night rather than strapped the nasal pillow tightly to my face. My hose is lying on my trunk rather than over my head.
