Christy, what came with the NAII you got from the DME and I told you to hang on to? Did you check the cannulas? Might be a small in there.
If NOT, call the DME and ask them for a small, and offer to trade them whatever came in that one. They don't know you haven't been using it all along.
Cheers,
Barbara

What I got from Kaiser was size specific. Just the tubing and an xsmall cannula and the back stretchy velcro piece not even the full head gear. So what I have is 2 xsmall cannula and one set of headgear mostly here I think it might of been missing a couple of things by the time I got it, an extra of the stretchy part, and two sets of hoses. I sent everything that I couldn't use like the large sizes of the cannula back with the Bravo.
It was also 1 of 2 that they said were the last they had. But I'll give them a call and find out if I can get my hands on a small cannula from them. I've only had the new mask about 3 weeks I think, but they sounded like they weren't going to support non Respironics users anymore. They are pushing Respironics for everything now. I figure I'm lucky with what I got.

Christy, can't hurt to call them. Maybe they'll dump their NAII inventory on you.
Contact 6ptstar - he has a Small for you. I didn't send him your addy, but I suppose I should have.
Hugs,
B.

I just checked my reports from last night using the Nasal Aire.
It was more comfortable as I added to the headgear and it was more stable and I was able to turn over and move with the prongs dislodging. It felt comfortable and seemed to be wonderful!!
The down side is I just downloaded last nights data and it is worse than what it has been for some time. I had an average leak rate of 39 -- I have a pressure of 8 - 12. My 90% number was 12 -- many nights I don't get up to 12 at all and will average between 8 and 10. I had over 200 snores at 12 with an overall AHI of 2.3.
I wonder what is going on? Any suggestions?

Well, numbers don't look bad to ME. But I'm sorta new to "playing by the numbers".
I go by how comfortable it is to sleep in, and how I feel when I wake up. Did you compare the leak rate chart that Jerry posted to your leak rate?
Cheers,
Babs

My numbers look like this for last night:

I was able to use the Nasal Aire all night. What was simply amazing was I DID NOT get up at ALL during the night for a bathroom break. Even as a child I have gotten up at night at least once to have a potty break. I can not remember a night when I have not gotten up at least once. Even when I have had surgery and they have told me "not to worry about getting up cause I won't" I do anyway.
I have felt pretty good today. I was tired some this morning but I think I slept so good it kind of threw my schedule off. [/img]

YAY CAROL! And you can post screenshots.... ooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll have to teach me to do that.
I've been a nightly potty person my whole life too. I'm so set in the habit, that when my boyfriend moved in with me, with the dog, it became the Official 3 am Family Pee. First me, then Kiwi out, then Don, then Kiwi back in, then Kiwi wanting a biscuit, then Kiwi wanting to play fetch....
And being sleep deprived, you know I tried to feed Don a biscuit once or twice.
That's okay, he tried to play fetch with me...
At least neither of us insisted the other pee in the backyard!
I'm still sort of randomly peeing at approx. 3 am. Some nights I don't, but I also chalk that up to the fact that I take my night meds right before bed. A glass of water and a dose of Vitamin C will eventually work there way south...
LOL,
Babs

I'd give you my procedure but I am not sure I do it the right way. but it works most of the time. I still have a problem getting it the right size. I guess I owe it to you after bugging you so hard about Encore.
I am kinda happy with my leak line. Still not quite as good as Rosemary is getting out of her Aura but it seems to be good for me.

The new MP started leaking last night. I got two good nights out of it. Sigh... I guess I really AM a Large.
Carol, what size are you using?

This is still with my small. I have found sometimes a small leak which is so noticable with the NAII is not all that bad. I have had better luck staying with the small and getting a little leak some times than going to the medium which seals but is not as comfortable and ends up showing a larger leak rate on the report. Not sure why.

I used the large size last night. My leak rate appears to have gone done.
I am going to remanufacture the headgear this week-end. Last night it kept slipping over my head.
