Christy,

Would you doctor be willing to give you a script stating a new mask was a medical necessity? When my face was reacting to my F & P 431 and was really irritated I called the insurance company and they told me to get a script with medical necessity written on it and it would be covered even though it hadn't been three months. Doctor didn't have a problem doing that so I was able to get it right away.

My Dr. is a bit incompetent she couldn't even write a proper prescription for me when I asked for one for my record for my BiPAP and mask of choice. She insisted that you don't need prescriptions for such things. I was so frustrated with her I don't intend to see her again unless I really have to.

Is it your regular doctor that is incompetent or the sleep doc.

I have my family doc write my scripts.

It's my Sleep Doc/Pulmonologist If I tried to ask my Primary Care Dr he'd tell me to go to my Sleep Doc, because they are all Kaiser and they are kind of funny about that.
