Yay, OceanPearl!!!! Is this situation unique to you or is it Cigna insurance-wide now? I'm hoping it is Cigna's new policy and they manage to straighten out a few Apria offices!!!!

Well, speaking of Cigna.....
I saw an article about this in the Billings Gazette last week, but it was concerning Montana, so I thought I'd just take a "wait and see" position. We just (a few minutes ago) received an e-mail relating to what I read and here is a clip from it:

CIGNA and Great-West Life & Annuity have signed an agreement for CIGNA to acquire Great-West's Healthcare division.

FWIW, Great-West manages our self-insured plan.

Hmmmmm......
I did a search on "Cigna" in past posts on the forum and don't know what to think.
I guess I'm glad that I've got about all of the PAP equipment and supplies that I'll need.

Well, then, MAYBE it will be a good thing that one has to go thru Cigna instead of thru Apria. And maybe it won't. *sigh*

(On the surface) I would read the part about going thru CIGNA to get something from Apria (or whomever) as a sign that they COULD be serious about cutting costs/expenses on some of these things.....which would obviously be a "good" thing.
Granted, the sleep therapy expenses when compared to the other medical stuff are a drop in the bucket, but maybe they're going to do SOMETHING......? (Hopefully in all aspects of the medical expenses)

Don't know. I called Apria and they told me that I would have to call a special Cigna 800 number.

Hmm.. I too have CIGNA and as you know, they only use APRIA.

I wonder if they have been having so many complaints about APRIA that they have made themselves a "buffer" between them and the insured party?

I have been gettin gmy supplies from CPAP.com and paying for them myself..... Maube it's time to try CIGNA again if they are in the process of actually trying to get patients what they need... AND... have a prescription for.
