Observations on people with chronic illnesses.

I seem to enjoy experiencing chronic life threatening illnesses as I do it frequently.
I have done/am doing living with severe mental illness, alcoholism, end stage renal disease (kidney failure) and sleep apnea. Each one of these is a known killer. And as I hang out in the support groups associated with these diseases I notice a common phenomenon. Each class of patient expresses a lot of anger at the system that is providing them services.
Where I live, there are a whole bunch of people with mental illness and their family members complaining bitterly about the lack of services provided by the local County Mental Health system.
The people on dialysis compain bitterly about the services provided by the dialysis centers which just happen to be keeping them alive.
We with sleep apnea bitch about DME's and Dr's and CPAP machines.
The only group who doesn't do much complaining are the alcoholics who don't expect anybody (except God) to get them better and concentrate on helping themselves and each other.
So as Sargent Schultz would say..
Very Interesting Very Interesting
