Packer,

Mostly I agree with you with one possible exception. Some studies have shown that for heart failure and cardiomyopathy CPAP works better than APAP. The studies are preliminary and small and it will take time until there is more evidence one way or the other.

I'm using APAP to titrate my pressure and then plan switch to CPAP in order to reduce my risks until research shows otherwise.

If I ever get my leaks under control, I am going to do the same thing.
