Like Snoredog, I save my reports to .pdf files (in a separate folder) and then about every 6 months, I burn them off to a CD and then remove them from my hard drive. I also have 2 identical computers.....one with EP 1.4.99 and the other with EP 1.6i. The one with 1.6, I download to weekly and have been since the beginning of this year.
I also have every night's report going back to the first one.....05/14/05.
So far, when I open my interaction report each morning, the January 1st date is still in the calendar as the beginning date. If it changes, I may be able to tell from that, but I also plan to create another user on January 1st of this next year and do a download from the card and see just what IS there.

My card only saves 10 days of data. I need to spend time seeing if there is a setting somewhere I'm missing.
EDIT
I posted this elsewhere now, but need to do it here as well. What I should have said was that it compiles running data, but only has 7 days of full detail (thought it was 10 - I was wrong).

My question is what do you want to use this data for?
How often do you actually go back and want to acess it?
I have tons of data scattered between various cards and two computers. Some of it is on my laptop which I took to the hospital, some on the computer next to my bed.
But I am not sufficently well organized to keep track of when I changed masks, when I had a cold etc to trying to make sense of the historical data is almost useless.
So I think a more relevant question maybe what are you also logging and what quest9ions do you want to ask of it.
Yes , if I bothered I could prove that once upon a time I had AHI's of under one. But that is useless as my current issue is what does an apparent AHI of 39 mean and what am I going to do about it.

This is a personal decision for each of us.
Occasionally I DO look back to see how I was doing in my beginning year of therapy.
I paid for the data collecting machines and the software to monitor my therapy......I'm getting my money's worth.
It only costs the price of a few CDs to store the data on.

From the Respironics website: "SmartCard: 6 months at 3 usage sessions per day, 7 days in-depth analysis"
Independent verification is always good however.
