Those of you that have had this condition, did any of you experience nausea or vomiting? I know we all experienced the intense pain from Hell..

Thanks Dale...The pain is starting to lessen a bit, either that or I am getting used to it (not likely)..Once this sucker has gotten to the bladder all is downhill from there

In my experience, the pain comes in waves. A couple of self-help things....
1. Sit in a hot tub of water (as warm as you can manage, see below) and drink beer. The beer is processed fairly quickly, the hot water raises body temp, so the process speeds up a bit. The pressure will help move the stone along. My brother in law swears by this, and has had 4 stones. (He's got nothing on me!)
Caution against water that is too hot, and if you are consuming more than a couple of beers, be SURE someone is around to monitor you and help you stand up. DON'T crank up the hot tub to 110! Blood heat or slightly higher is a good temp, so 98-100, NEVER OVER 103-104.
2. Use a heating pad on your lower back. Be sure to remove the pad every 20-30 min to give your skin a rest from the heat, then go back to the pad. Heat helps with the pain a bit.
I feel for you... I hope it passes quickly!

Hiccup... I will try the bath in a few minutes when my husband comes back from walking the dogs..I had him buy me some light beer (one non-light beer gets me tipsy) so I will go sit in hot water and get smashed
