Even if you get this combination of equipment and software working and downloading data, I don't think the type of data it retains is going to be very meaningful to you for evaluating your therapy. If you'll notice, the word "average" is in almost every one of those items listed......meaning you won't see the nightly events like AHI, leaks and other data we use for evaluating our therapy.

It's unclear as to what your condition may be or why it would require that (old) machine, but I think it would be easier to find one that suits your needs better, and without all this hassle of trying to get this machine and software to provide any meaningful data.

Well, "technically":

Encore Pro data Management Software 1.8i (not supported on Windows 98 - only on Windows 2000, XP Professional, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista)

Although I guess "supported" means simply "GFL with that".

Anyway, I'm using it in XP SP2 Mode using SQL Express 2008 (be aware that the 1.8 install uses SQL 2005, and depending on the machine, OS, etc. may need to be upgraded to at least SQL 2005 SP3).

I am using 1.8 coz 2.2 do not support serial port connections.

Define "ordinary".

If you mean "DTE-to-DCE straight-through cable" then yes.
