I have had that problem on occasion. When I wash out the chamber, now I make sure everything is DRY and LINT FREE where the base inserts into the chamber. Then I set the unit down on a flat surface and press down on the top of the chamber to make sure everything is seated evenly together. No problems since..

The original poster said there was no leaking unless he had the heat turned on the
humidifier. Just using it as cool passover there were no leaks. I wonder if this might be more of a condensation problem leaking through a
hose that might not be properly seated on the
humidifier.
