It may have sounded as such, but I wasn't insulted, not by you, anyway.
Personally, I view your comments as good-natured fun. Discussions of masks, machines, sleep habit, belching, are all well and good, but they can get on my nerves sometimes. It's the friendly squabblings that are nice and fun diversions every now and then. It feels like family!

basmiith,
My
Respironics equipment came to me without the "rubber thingy". Do you have a 3/4 inch connector between the Remstar plus and the
humidifier?
If you don't you can buy them from
cpap.com, called ""RP-Heated Humidifier Coupling' whose part number is 1009313. Comes two in a sealed package. Cost is "cheap".
Other than that I have no idea what could be your problem. but if the coupling is damaged or non existant, quickly get a replacement machine and
humidifier. Should be guaranteed. Insist on FREE second day air shipment since you were sent defective equipment.
Andy
thank you all for your posts to my dilemma

I think I have a better handle on this now.
1) I have to be more careful installing water chamber
2) Make sure I don't overfill above the line
3) Be sure chamber is sealed tightly to
cpap machine
4) Make sure
hose is on tight
Thanks so much

Basmith, the other factor to be careful about is not bending the
humidifier lid (or "bottom floor"). If that piece gets permanently distorted then the "compression
seal" is at risk as those two
humidifier pieces mate.
I never feel picked on by Linda or
anyone here, guys. When I get razzed in good nature that's an a-okay chuckle by me. I may talk "geeky" at times, but I try hard not to take myself too seriously.

I had the same problem about a month ago. There was a puddle under the
humidifier base each morning and the bottom of the chamber base plate was wet. There was no problem running the
humidifier with the heat turned off. I think I may have been partially responsible for the problem because for a few months after we first got the machine I took the chamber apart daily. Its unlikely that there is anything wrong with plastic part of the chamber. There is probably a problem with the
seal on the metal base plate.

Is "Thingy" considered more technically correct than a Doomahitchy?

My nephew used to be a
BIG fan of the PC-based game called Doom. Whenever we left the house he'd ask us to hook his computer up to the car's back bumper using a Doomahitchy.
There's no better way to hitch Doom to a bumper than by using a dedicated Doomahitchy...
