I did just figure out today how to change pressure using the software. Once you get into the right menu chain it's easy, and much more straightforward than playing press the right button now. But yes, I can see where it would make them nervous if people are changing every night. I have done a change, then run with it for at least 5 nights before making any further changes based on how my AI and HI, and more importantly, my time in apnea is. I figure they gave me an auto with 4 to 20, so I'm not really doing anything different, just more methodicly than auto does. (it would max out every night on auto, but my AHI was high, so I switched to non auto BiPap. ) But I will stress (as everyone on here should do as all) that these are my experience and thoughts, I am not advocating this to anyone else.

A thought...
It might be a good idea for Respironics to send a copy of the patient version -- Encore Viewer -- to several people who actually have been using Encore Pro on a regular basis. Before Respironics releases it.
Since this is going to be software designed "for" the patient, some real patients who are experienced with Encore Pro could let Respironics know if they hit a home run with the patient software, or if they left something out that should be there. Don't just run it by a few DMEs or vendors. Let some real xpap/Encore Pro users try it out.
