I thought there was no allergy to milk. There are people who are lactose intolerant. The whole world is allergic or intolerant of milk. A small part of the world aka northern european people aka white people have evolved an ability to digest cow's milk. They are the only one's in the world with this evolved abilty. Jews arabs italians blacks etc. don't usually have this abilty unless they are mixed with northern europeans. Irish Swedes Scots Norwegians etc should have this abilty unless the are mixed with non northern europeans. Either case if you posses the abilty it's a sign of northern european blood.

I'm confused.....which side are you arguing?
Also, please give some links to back up the statements you made with regard to different nationalities/ethnicities being able to digest cow's milk.

I didn't find anything resembling what you stated in this source:

Mr. Dude, apparently you only know about lactose intolerance (and have quite some misinformation about that).

Yes Virginia, there are allergies to milk. Your first thought is incorrect. The allergy is an immune system overreaction to a protein in milk.

BTW, my grocer tells me that Lactaid milk (milk with the lactose predigested) is by far the number one seller in his cold case. This is just an indication of how many people have at least some degree of lactose intolerance.

I wonder how Socknister is doing?

Very interesting posts Echo, and Jen. Jen you should try other fermented foods like sauer kraut or tempeh if you can't eat yogurt. They also have probiotics, though I don't know whether they are more easily assimilated than pb8 pills.

I have a gluten intolerance and it has transformed my life to be off of gluten. I had been off of gluten too long to be tested for celiac, and there is no way I am going back on gluten to bother. So, if you think you might be sensitive to wheat, get tested before you go off.
