Those are some great suggestions, Bookbear! I'll see what I can do to create a "new and improved" version. My stuff does tend to come out rather sharp and edgy. I use Microsoft Paint, which is very basic and not a lot of options. I have better software, but it's easier and quicker to use what I know until I can really sit down and learn the software better. Good suggestions, though. I like a challenge!

Love the "hose humor" too, Bonnie!

Granted ribbons have been overdone, but your elegant arrangement made me laugh out loud.
Ditto. I needed a good laugh.
Then I had a vision of the miniturized version. Only another hosehead would have a clue what it is.
I can definitely see myself wearing the miniature vision - what a hoot.

Does this mean we can also have wristbands made out of hose as well?

Bonnie, that was hysterical! I loved it. And immediately started thinking of how I can make little hoses...

If you get around to it, please post! I'd love to see that!
I definitely will post it if I can get my lazy tired bum motivated, but right now I feel like this... Image

Great image and suggestion!

I'm thinking for the "dressy" version it could easily be made from large-diameter silver bullion wire (http://www.jewelrysupply.com/index.php? ... s_id=13153 or http://www.carnmeal.com/details/1706/jumbo-bullion-wire, to give you an idea -- when stretched ever so slightly it looks a lot like a hose); I'm sure there's some sort of small findings that could be attached to the ends to resemble the hose connectors.

I don't have my craft supplies with me or I'd take a shot at it...

I like the CPAP graphics, too, especially Tasmania's strapless one! Very nice.

I really like yours Taz, and I like the idea of taking off the zzz's and adding a small box with a universal medical symbol, however I wonder if it is feasible given space limitations and aesthetics. I just now came across the thread, but I'll be putting my mind to something as well. I've designed a few knitting t-shirts for cafepress, but I'd buy one of Taz's designs to put on t-shirt, bag, coffee cups, tons of stuff--seriously! And I like the idea of putting the $2 per item sold into some kind of fund. That would be tres cool.

OK, that is my contribution. It probably sucks--not the design exactly but the execution. I can't afford the fancy software, so I had to do the best I could with microsoft picture it which has severe limitations. I had to trick it into doing a few diff things by saving it to paint as a jpg file so I could change and refine it the best I could. If anyone thinks they like it and could clean the image up a bit, I'd be all for that. It took me waaaay longer than it should have because of software snafus. I think it would have been faster to draw it on paper, scan and then clean it up! If I had the right software doing stuff like this would be fun, not a pain! I do love a challenge, though!

Looks good, socknitster! I was thinking just a face w/ mask and hose curved to a box-like cpap off to the side, with the medical symbol inside the outline, but the bed is not a bad idea at all......

I like the one designed by socknister

One suggestion: the CPAP can be made simple, just a box is enough.

The simpler the better

Cpap'rnewbie,

I actually agree--but if you knew how long it took me to make that medical symbol---argh! I'm going to try to make my design better today.

Jen - it looks too much like a hospital bed.
I think we have to stick to faces. close eyes and masks.
Or something the implies an end to being choked when you sleep...
