If you're running IE, anyway, you have to initially get rid of
all the cookies,
especially the UID one, cause that's the one that is calling you a Guest (UserID = -1).

Nope -- don't use IE unless nothing else will work.....try to avoid using all M$ products (except OS unfortunately)....
Anyway -- it appears to be working this morning.....
I posted as me.
The red "N's" seem to stay after screen refresh.....
Still seems a bit slower on response, but it's all a process....
cheers

On the other hand:
I can post without being logged out,
The red N's are back, and
They're still there after I've browsed or posted.

I try to send pm and it just goes to my 'outbox' and sits there- I get the 'message sent' message, but it's not recorded in my sent box, and is sitting in my outbox- but can't seem ot send it
That's normal. Confusing, I know, but normal.
When you send a private message, it really is "sent" even though your copy of it will stay in your Outbox
UNTIL the recipient actually
opens the message at his/her end. Only then will your copy automatically move over into your "Sent" box.
It would be clearer if the Outbox were named "Sent" and the Sentbox were named "Opened" or "Viewed." Because that's what those two mailboxes really mean.
If a message you sent is showing in your Outbox, that means it WAS sent successfully, but
the recipient hasn't opened the message . As long as the message you sent is showing in your Outbox, it
is sitting in the recipient's mailbox, but he/she hasn't clicked your message to read it.
If a message you sent is showing in your Sentbox, the recipient has opened it at his/her end and presumably has read it.
Took me forever to figure that out -- I
think that's the way those oddly named mailboxes work.
