Jerry, get another mask!!! You shouldn't have sores from a mask. Talk to the VA and see if they can give you a different one. Just because its treatment, doesn't mean it has to be painful.

I spent twenty years in the military and was always told that anything good for you HAD to be painful!

jerryc, at least one guy I know of who goes through the VA for his cpap treatment was able to get the Breeze. VA in Chicago area, anyway, carries the Breeze with nasal pillows.
He also was able to get them to give him an autopap instead of the straight cpap machine they first gave him. I don't think it took him very long to get the changes to the Breeze and the autopap...perhaps within his first couple of months of treatment.

Well I seem to be having more trouble with mine as each day goes by. But
I think I am getting a cold. What luck? Anyway, I was fortunate I think, when I got my machine. The home health company who issued my machine said my insurance pays for 100% of the cost. So I have no idea what the mask costs. I hear alot of people saying they cost so much so I hope I can make mine work for me!!!! Char.
