Let me guess ... SOC = Some Other Crap?
We don't look at compliance you silly SOC! ... you must be one of those RT's that walks around in a white coat pretending to be important because you have a cracker-box certificate on your cubical wall.
It's the direction we get no gain from and understanding that we need.
Most of us don't want to be doctors ... but somebody has to take care of our condition.

That was certainly more diplomatic than I would've been. It hadn't occurred to me that SOC is one of those RTs with a god-complex, but it sure sounds right.
Doug.

Actually... YOU do. We are patients researching and furthering our own therapy in an attempt at wellness. What are you accomplishing here?

No but my doctor is an MD, and he wants me to download and understand my data, and the data on that card is far beyond compliance. According to him, research shows that patients are more compliant when they have reasonable control over their own treatment, so he does have an interest in my compliance. He also "allows" his diabetic patients to monitor their own blood sugar, and inject their own insulin based on those readings. Oh yes, and he had me do a bunch of blood pressure readings both at home and at work. This helped him determine my bp medication levels.
I'm not bored, but I'm sure a lot healthier than the 50% of noncompliant former cpap users who never got a chance to make their therapy work because their RTs never took the time to learn how to help them.
I'm not sure why you are so angry about all this, though.
Do you have a vested interest? Do you own stock in some company? Or are you just a common garden-variety troll?

You're new at this.....RIGHT?
We download the sleep details......not just compliance.
I fired my sleep doctor after the third visit......never had an RT or used a local DME.
We have every RIGHT to see and monitor our own therapy.....the medical professionals are clueless.
It's not mandatory that we have a doctor or RT to do so.
It's OUR therapy. We're the ones who have to sleep with this stuff every night.
It's so easy, a Caveman can do it.
Your're right......I'm NOT a doctor......THANK GOD!!!
And, the harder "the powers that be" try to make the software inaccessible, the more it will be distributed to those that NEED it.
Got that???

I was definitely past my bedtime last night ... I let those white coats get on my nerves. My apologies if I offended any of the forum members. Some of our member RTs are very cool to come here and share their knowledge/experience ... Brian RT, Kansas RT, DP, and I'm sure there are others I can't recall at the moment. However, this new SOC is NOT one of them.
I'm getting too old for this ...

Maybe with the minimal capability, overpriced cpaps you sell to your customers, only compliance information can be downloaded.

Me, too. There are clearly good RTs on this board and at least one in my community that I've met in person.
Anyway, I don't think SOC was an RT, I think he was a customer service guy for Respironics or something. Or maybe just a troll.

Here here! I know BrianRT and KansasRT and the other RT's here would never post such a thing. Great humans, all of them!!!
I personally think it was just a member of this board who is NOT a member of the medical profession, who gets his jollies yanking people's chains and stirring up meaningless ill will.
LOL,
B.
