Track, Not brad pit... I'm female and I don't lie. Now, at 55 I don't even see myself as attractive. So get a life, instead of trying to diminish people you haven't even met.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.....and you must be Brad Pitt.
Well Track, "consistently" is not "constantly". It could be like in my case, consistently once every seven years on a dark night.

Here's another way to look at it.
I work hard all of my life as far as doing the right thing like eating right and exercising the whole bit... and watched my weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, fatigue increase in spite of that. SO FRUSTRATING.
Now, I'm still doing all the right things AND I'm seeing results with decreased weight, BP, cholesterol, heartrate, fatigue. It's a mighty good feeling.
Shari
Great outlook Shari
One can focus on the negatives or one can choose to focus on the positive but it is so much easier and ultimately satisfying focusing on the positives

Yep ... people consistently think I am Brad Pitt too ... but I think they constantly mistake me for Val Kilmer

Aw, come on, you gotta allow for some leg pulling now and then. Sometimes a comment just "begs" to have someone try to yank your chain a bit, especially if they are feeling a bit playful. Nothing mean is meant by it. Its just the devil in us at times.
And now .... back to the subject of this thread ... thank you for sharing your experience w/accepting CPAP.

Slinky, I can joke and take it right back. I shared my experience because I was trying to make a point that apnea affects our health and our appearance if left untreated. I didn't llike the inference that I was lying or at best exagerating. It not only took away from my post it turned the thread into a joke.

When even after smoking for 25 years, eating too much, taking chances with my life and being 72 years old, did you not give me cancer, heart disease, blindness, tetanus, rabies, diverticulotis etc, etc, etc????
I am sure that I deserved one of those diseases instead of APNEA.
COULD I PLEASE SWAP????

Yeah, every time I see a 19 year old smile at me in the super market I imagine that she is hitting on me.

Magpie, I didn't take the comments the same way you did. I understood and appreciated the information you shared, I didn't even pick up on your comment about being hit on other than in the context you presented it - until our resident wise guys couldn't pass up the chance to add some humor. That's all it was, just humor. Frankly, I had to chuckle when I read their comments and even so it didn't take away from the value of your experience at all. Gracious, my dad ALWAYS looked a good 10 years younger than he was, so did my half brother .... we female offspring just looked our honest age.
I"m sorry that your feelings were hurt or that you were offended. Rooster's an all right guy and I'm sure he certainly didn't mean to offend you. I sincerely doubt that Track was trying to offend or hurt you either.
Okay now guys, lighten up and get back on topic, please.

I am also consistently being called wise and constantly being called a guy too.
