I literally couldn't walk through the malls a few years ago, it made me so sick to my stomach. It's still hard sometimes to convince coworkers that their perfume is making me physically ill. They think I'm just faking it.

I've avoided alot of "armoatherapy" products because I didn't know that some were synthetic, and they gave me headaches. I've since become a more aware consumer and now am more willing to give the natural essences a try.

I'm so sensitive to chemicals, especially in ultra airborne products, that I have to carry around an epi pen and use inhalers. I have to wear a mask on airplanes (which ironically has people looking at me as if I'm trying not to spread a dangerous illness), can't go to theaters except when there are very few people there, etc.

What is really sad is the numbers of children being affected. They are born wearing clothes washed in a "baby fresh scent," to living in a room with Glade "Suddenly Spring," riding in a car with mom who is wearing their favorite perfume, with car deodorizers, to . . . My allergist says he is seeing record numbers of children and they are getting younger and younger.

I agree! I have had a wonderful experience with Pur-Sleep products. I'm breathing better and can sleep all night. The only problem that persists is mask condensation. I'm thinking of gluing velcro on my mask and then on some woolly fabric so I can stick it on at night. Now that's got to be a scary sight! LOL

Gasp and Sharon, I think your posts are what really prompted me to try this product, since I share your sensitivities and proclivities for headaches to certain scents. Thank you so much! I hope to share your good experiences!!!!

Night 2 with Pur-Sleep. Used the Clear oil and had another great experience.
Spice tonight for the complete package.
Was relaxing and I went right to sleep. Fragrance was gone in the morning, but it was good for about 4 hours as I woke up for the usual BR break and it was still there....

I do prefer the Peace over the Clear at this point and once again, I'm going to get some of the other oils to try -- probably all but rose (got grossed out by rose oil when I was in the "herbal" business and I had to pour about a pint of it into 2ml containers for sachets. Don't like rose anymore -- though I do grow a lot of them).

I really like the whole system so far -- SleepGuy you definitly have a winner!!!

I'll do another note tomorrow after trying Spice......(smells good in the bottle!!! I like clove and there is a hint of citrus)......

cheers

Got my pur-sleep yesterday. I think I put to much on accidentally cause I had to move it away from my machine, it was quite strong. I first tried peace (3 drops accidentaly) and one drop of clear and I couldn't handle it, so I put it in the bathroom and got the other cloth thingy and put on one drop of clear. It took awhile to get to sleep because it was hot but once I fell asleep I had the best night sleep in a long time. I think I need to use very little maybe 1-2 drops. I look forward to tonite.
Thank you very much sleepguy. I will let you know how it goes!!!!

The sense of smell varies widely from person to person. I would recommend that you try to use at least a little Peace if you're using Spice or Clear (you could put on a little drop with a toothpick).

Sorry about the dropper cap bottles--they're really the best that it gets when it comes to essential oils. If you get too much on one side of the pad, just turn it over. That might do the trick!

Thanks for the feedback!

Someone is asking me about how the pur-sleep diffuser might work with a Resmed VPAP III.

Thoughts anyone?

Should I be worried about the EO damaging the rubber or anything on the plug? It does touch. Or I just move it to the side but have to use a bit more oil.
jennmary, I wouldn't be too worried about EOs damaging the rubber on the plug. Just concentrate the drops on the pad in a spot away from the plug. Or you could put a piece of glass as an insulator between the pad and the plug.

Well i said I would post my findings, I tried the pur-sleep....I have had a head ache all day so far. The smell is very pleasant. I don't think the head ache is from the pur-sleep I used the clear.

I'm not sure if my head-ache is from my mask or I'm getting a sinus problem. So i will give the pur-sleep another try tonight. After I change back to my other mask.

Try a drop of Peace with the Clear tonight. Sleepguy recommended that above.

Good luck!

Thanks sleep guy. That has been my only problem. The intake directly above the plug makes it hard to get the difuser under it.

Dont know if this is related to pur sleep or not...but very exciting. My AHI has gone from a 4.8 almost every night down to a 1.3, all of that was HI. This is just from this week. I will keep you all informed of my progress.

I have been using the original pur-sleep since it came out and also found I have a lower AHI. I also sleep longer each night. I was getting about 6 hours and now sleep a good 8 hours with out waking once.

One drop at a time?

Love my pur-sleep system - but any suggestions only getting one drop at a time out of the vial?

Slept very well last night - 2+ clear(had trouble getting only 2 drops - might have actually been 3 ) and 1 peace worked wonders - AHI 0.7 - lowest ever!

I bought about 200 of the small diffuser pads before Bret took them off the market, so I am using them. I do like the old diffuser that sits on top of my humidifier because it seems to make the aroma from the oils last longer. It might just be me, but with the essential oils within the old diffuser and only one way out....though the hose to my nose...the aroma is more effective than dissipating into the air in all directions from the new diffuser pads. (In my humble opinion)
