Jim, yeppers, even though I feel better, lost weight, off all medications, BP down, my over-all sense of feeling "well" is just not there yet. I guess I am expecting too much and want to find a reason for "why not?".
I was hoping for the magic "Kazam" when I first started CPAP and when I got my APAP but they never happened.
So I have to remind myself that
I don't have to lie down to rest after showering any more,
I don't wake up gasping for breath any more,
I am sleeping solidly when I don't eat chocolate or drink Diet Coke
and
my swimming endurance is building back up slowly.

off for a swim.
For some of us it happens slowly but its happening!!!!!

That BBQ, will set you back some.. Sounds like you are making progress, and if you feel strong enough to get those piggies, you could probably loose the ramp, it sounds like you can walk.
I started with the ComfortFull 'M'. at 14 cm from day one, no ramp just C-flex at 3. The data and treatment are more reliable without the ramp, it's hard to capture data when you're rolling downhill, remember that stone and the moss.
My Comfort Full, usually had a leak rate of 36 on CPAP @ 14.5 cm. Jim

So conversion from showering to tub bathing is a symptom of osa?
Indeed. In the 12step programs they have "20 questions" designed to make you confess to be an addict/alcoholic/whatever.
So we need the "Twenty Questions" for OSA (Obstructive SleepDisordered Anonymous).
1/ Do you find having a shower in the morning very tiring?
2/ Has your dentist told you you are grinding your teeth?
3/ Do you burp up acid in your mouth occasionally ?
4/ Do you have difficulty swallowing occasionally ?
5/ Have you ever been prescribed psychotropic medications ?
6/ Do you get depressed ?
7/ Has no doctor/dentist ever suggested you have Sleep Apnea ?
.. we need some more here...
16/ Do you wake up feeling tired?
17/ Do you fell tired tired during the day?
19/ Have people said you snore?
20/ Do you doze off during meetings?

8/ Do you ever have night sweats?
9/ Do you ever wake up in a high anxiety state?
10/ Is your face ever ashen upon arising with the color improving later in the day?
11/ Do you feel more tired upon arising than you do at the end of the day?
21/ Do you not remember any of the first 20 questions?

Walking is not a problem since I quit smoking 25 years ago. I carried my share out, but had a butcher do the cleaning, aging and curing. The bar owner has the monster BBQ and the cook will do the cooking... I done my part for the 4th of July party. My only job will be having fun.
John_M has a valid point about showers. I remember having shortness of breath after showering and now I use a humidifier? That is weird to remember that but now I do not have problems exiting the shower.
John_M HaHa, I am in more 12 step programs than you can shake a staircase at. But seriously, 20 questions are a good evaluation of anything that affects your life, but you need to listen to what you are saying when you answer them.
Snoredog Interesting take on it. I had not thought about the differences between machines and the indicators. Obviously there are things that do not make sense - changed the ramp from 4@45 to 7@25 and there was no significant changes to my stats last night, but that is night one - by this time next week I will know yes/no and will keep adjusting the ramp pressure/time until it "works best for me"
