Seriously, I wonder about data capability/computer interface.....will it have that? Also, as asked previously, is it APAP, CPAP or what? Data readouts on LCD screen? How easy for regular users to program?

Is the heat adjustable on the humidifier? If so how easy is it to adjust?

I have a question regarding the traveler by ProBasics. Does the machine have a DC input for battery back up use?

I like zee name. And the reviews so far sound very promising. Congratulations. But I am also interested in the weight - of the machine and the power supply. I assume it is separate from the machine itself, on the power cord as Respironics did with the M Series. And the question I have about all the small machines applies even more to this one: As light as it is, how does it stay on the nightstand and keep from being pulled off?

In today's market, Cpaps classified as either Home units and/or Travel Units. Are we going to see Cpap.com provide some measurement of which units are better than others? Will the Probasics Silent Traveler hold up with daily use? The 420G might be considered a Travel Machine, but its price has many buyers using it for everyday use and extreme pressures. The Puritan Bennett 420 Series has difficulty support Full Face Masks at pressures greater than 12cmh20, so will the Silent Traveler support FFM's?

Willit work off of a battery?

Are the humidifier controls part of the humidifier or the CPAP? Where is the power switch?

This is so exciting! A new and tough and compact design is always welcome.

That said:
At first, the machine looked SOOO small. That was the same reaction I had when I first saw my ResMed S8 Compact. THEN the humidifier is added--in each case, the humidifier seems to make the difference in size a moot point.

We are all different, and while this machine seems to be at least worth investigation, my main concern is that I find out if it will work for me.

-Please, would it be possible to know how this machine compares to a few of the others (even if just the most popular ones)? I have only used one machine, so I only have ONE reference machine at this point.

-How does this machine compare to the BreatheX, also marketed for travel OR daily use?

-A lighter, tougher machine would certainly be desirable--is this machine actually tougher than competitors?

And, here are a few more questions:


RE: Humidifier

-What is the capacity of the humidifier?

-How is the humidifier meant (or intended) to be cleaned? Can this be done effectively and efficiently in wilderness camping or cheap and not-so-clean motel/hotel bathrooms?

-How does the humidifier connect to the machine, and how sturdy is that connection?


RE: Filters

-What kind of filters does the machine use--I am hoping they are at least semi-reusable because carrying spare filters could be a great inconvenience. Knowing myself, I would leave the spares I needed in a hotel room in another city.


RE: Travel case

-What protection for this "travel" machine does the case (provided, hopefully) afford the machine--and is there room for a mask in said case?

-Is there a touch more space for a few accessories such as an extension cord, pantyhose straps, tape, hose, Pad-a-Cheeks, ComfortSleeve, etc?
-How is the power cord stowed for travel?


RE: Repairs

-Is there technical support available around the world?

-What about the repairability of the machine in a place where there are no DME providers? There must be such places! A nice overnight replacement policy while traveling might be nice for those times when a good repair facility cannot be found. So, is there such a policy? Even if available on a subscription basis?

Failing that;

-Are the technical manuals available to travelers planning to be in relatively remote locations?

-Would a miminal and commonly available number of tools be available for such repairs?


RE: Battery Power

-If battery capability is a part of the machine, is there a rechargeable battery AND how long does the battery take to charge?

-Is the potentially rechargeable battery easily replaceable? A traveler may have access to a power supply only at night, so it seems there might have to be 2 (sets of?) the rechargeable batteries to be able to charge one overnight while using the other.


RE: Size

-Is there a plan to make smaller, lighter and more compact machines in the future? If the functioning of this machine equals that of any others, it would be very welcome for daily use.
