Kattitude, I agree that the above was pretty funny as it was SO over the top of possibility.

However, in the year + a bit that I've read this forum, I have seen quite a few of Snoredog's postings. Not all of them seem to be up to this level of sophistication, so we should all be thankful for small favors.

By the way, we may all rue the day when Snoredog figured out how to use his Photoshop program. I sense that he may be experimenting with those of us on the forum for some OTHER purpose --whatever that may be.

Disclaimer: None of the above comments should be taken as irrefutable facts; my thinking may be impaired as a result of using a recalled S8! (But, I don't think so...then again, my thinking COULD possibly be impaired; see the first sentence in the disclaimer.)

[quote="Kattitude"]"Painting the Resmed machines in images such as that posted above is a gross exaggeration and does noone any good especially cpapers seeking accurate information"

I kind of appreciated the humor and think that most people are smart enough to figure out that it was humor.

Humour is good for us all

Respect for each other's opinions is probably even more important & I appreciate the POV re the humour aspect of Resmed's recall. I would ask that we remember though that some types of humour can be quite relative.

I don't follow what you're getting at really...

You appreciate the point of view, but would ask us to....do what exactly?

I thought the blast-off pic was funny, too!

Besides, it gives whole new meaning to "how to increase your pressure."

Well .... I probably shouldn't ... but at the risk of offending a few folks, this one should make it clear what Snoredog thinks of ResMed flow generators ...

BTW - I have an S8 Vantage on the recall list and it has worked just as well as my Remstar "classic" Auto ... in fact I talked to the Stericycle folks about my replacement today.

Roberto, what a hoot! Only thing you missed (but the dog didn't! LOL) was to make it be a Dalmatian.

LOL

Nup should look more like a junkyard dog off its leash

D

PS Anyone thinking that that may be a good way to extinguish any powercord arcing, be aware that 110volts is a painful reminder of what can happen when salty liquid is being applied to an electrical fire

Anyway, that explains the acrid stench and the clouds of vapor in the morning... and here I thought it was just Satan.
hehehe, this one is my favorite, makes you want to sing Puff the Magic Dragon doesn't it?

I seem to be coming across as a Snoredog fan lately, which is weird, and I'm not a Resmed pressure transducer user anymore, but I thought that was pretty funny. All these gold plated Resmed devices going up in flames ... I like it. Resmed gives me The Butt Rash, in general. Sorry, Aussies. At least I haven't started up on you Kiwis and F&P, although I may at any minute.

dsm wrote:Blarg,

If you tell a joke that is at the expense of someone else or some outfit (like Resmed's recall) and you tell it once, that may be funny. If you tell it twice, it may still be funny, if you tell this joke 5 times, it may still seem a bit funny bit perhaps overstated. if you repeat it 10-20+ times, some people may wonder what the funny part really is and where it has crossed the boundary into other less flattering issues.
Um, ok, so you're deeply personally offended at these jokes because you don't work for resmed, do like their products, and then 4 posts later you join back in and say it's funny again.

So, perhaps we can dispense with diplomatic talk here. In your original post you said "It's important that we blah blah blah." I'm still of the opinion that the blah blah blah was "Never ever speak negatively about ResMed products ever again, especially if it's justified." Would you please clarify what you meant so that I don't have to be so cynical?

By the way, what is a "less flattering issue"?
