Hi All,
I have been looking for a thread like this everywhere!
My issue is my stubble is short and therefore most tapes just wont stick to the stubble. Any other tape recommendations?
Also I would try the polident strips. However is that the correct name for the strips? As when I google polident strips all I find are results for poligrip strips?
Thank you in advance

The tape that sticks like magic to skin is called 3M Micropore tape and is available in different widths. Amazon has it as will all drug stores. Note that it will not stick a second time once it is removed, so don't try to move it once you stick it on. You need to use a new piece instead. Whether your beard makes it impossible to stick, I don't know. They do use it to bandage wounds on areas that have hair like legs and arms.

Actually, taping is the only thing that works for me. I must have and odd shaped head or something but I've been through almost a dozen top of the line full face masks and they all leak badly. Liners make no difference. I either get hit in the eyes or the corners of my mouth when my chin drops and the masks vibrate like crazy...
A ResMed P10 and 2" micropore tape works best for me. I use the tan color, but it makes no difference. I use a good 8"-10" strip, fold over the two ends for easy removal and place it straight across my lips from one cheek to the other. I then use my fingers to seal it -- especially around the corners of my mouth. I then try to gently open my mouth and breath and if I can I remove the tape, clean and dry my mouth and face as best I can and try again. It may take 2-3 tries to get a good seal. (New tape each time -- can't reuse it).
At first I cut a little slit in the center to make sure I wouldn't suffocate but don't anymore. I know it's there and can easily yank it off when needed -- and I have needed to when I sneeze, have a bad event, etc..
I was certain it was against the rules and slightly reckless, but the tech did let me tape during my bipap titration.

I use an elastic cloth forehead sweat band across my lips. It looks silly but it's quite comfortable and effective.

Taping? I'm gonna hVe to try this. I keep waking up with a dry mouth, I think I'm mouth breathing. Taping sounds like it may do the trick.

Hi Kerriboberri,
What does Sleepyhead say about your leaks? A dry mouth does not necessarily mean you are mouth breathing.
If your leaks are ok, I would look into taking Biotene or Orajel for the dry mouth. If they are excessive, then yes, taping is worth a shot.

49er, I must admit, as much as I love numbers, I haven't checked Sleepyhead lately. I'm on vacation the week of Labor Day and should be able to check then.

I have a full beard. I switched from nasal pillows to the ResMed F10 full face mask about 6 months ago and it works like a charm (no problems)
