I was at the point where I was going to give up on the cpap machine and mask. It left marks I couldn't turn over, it would leak and my cheek bones were sore. It was collecting dust. I called my provider and they had never heard of the sleep weaver and they would do some research. They didn't carry it and they had to be extreme criteria met, I told them my problems and that I really need to try this as a last resort. They were able to order it and my insurance company paid and I've been wearing it since the end of September and I couldn't be happier. I wouldn't trade it for any other mask on the market. My pressure is a 10. It keeps it seal. Iam one happy gal.

Like most masks, it works for who it works for. I got it with a chin strap because, alas, I am a mouth breather. Between the chin strap, need for tape, and the mask, my Quattro FF is what I'll be sticking with. The SW is as soft as they say, and especially good for side sleeping. Out of the box, I was getting lots of leaks, but did not tinker much once I realized the chin strap and tape and mask would no doubt, be less comfortable than my Quattro If you google Sleep Weaver you can go to their site.

The mask has a strong smell, but, no doubt, it would fade in time. Good luck with this. It'd be great to hear how it works for you if you decide to try it.

It's so comfortable I keep trying to make it work.

Whenever I think of something new to try to control leaks I have another go at it. So far, I can't get it to seal consistently.

I think if I had a nose job and face lift it would work a lot better. I wonder whether Medicare would....nah, probably not.

I had precisely the same problem and ended up returning it. I really wanted this mask to work. When I COULD get it settled, I loved it... mostly. I found the feeling of the cool air inside the cloth against my face made it SEEM like it was leaking even when it sometimes wasn't.

I got it settled well one night and got a great sleep. However, when balanced against the sometimes extensive fussing to get it to seal, I went back to other more pedestrian masks that, when tired and ready to sleep NOW, could just toss on, wiggle a bit, have it seal, and go to sleep.

For those lucky enough to be able to settle this mask quickly, it would be very nice. Essentially "disappears" after it is on right.

All kidding aside; I'm still waiting for a full-face version.

Snowed in today so I've been hanging out with the computer, and had fun reading this long historical thread. I've been a CPAP user almost exactly 2 years, an ENT surgeon thought my throat looked like I had sleep apnea, I didn't believe him as I had no symptoms as far as I could tell. But the sleep study proved him right. I started with a Swift LT, then LT for Her, then Sleepweaver, then the Swift FX. I've gone back to the Sleepweaver and am going to get a new one when I'm eligible again in January. I like it the best of all I've tried. Things I like: All cloth, soft everywhere; the air blows gently through the vents; easy to clean; comfortable. Things I don't like: the hose running downwards.

By the way, I thought I was getting up at night to use the bathroom because I'm getting older. CPAP cured that for me, and I've learned that I was having symptoms that I didn't realize, and my oxygen levels were getting low at night. I was lucky to have such an observant doctor!

ME TOO!!!!! I can't wait for a full-face version!
I called sleepweaver and they said they were working on it,hopefully we'll have it in the future.
I love the mask,another world from the hard cpap masks.

Any tips on how to stop the leaking on this SW?
I have it and it's so comfortable but I can stop the leakes even when just laying on my back quitely trying to adjust.

I get the feeling this mask is best for people with a more rounded face than mine.
Oh, I have the the second made one.

Well, I'll be glad to tell you what works for me.
Make sure the straps are attached loosely at the sides:
Cut machine on:
Insert nose first:
Pull straps over head: All the way down in the back:
Tighten straps, not too tight:
Adjust top strap if needed: usually this stays put after first adjustment:
Pull mask out from face at nose,and let back down to seal:
You may have to tweak a little at the sides,but I usually don't:

I really hope this works for you,I had my sleepweaver quite a long time before I learned how to use it without leaks.

Does Circadiance accept Insurance? I wonder if Tricare would approve this mask.

This afternoon I sleep with it on for about one hour, but the one side was leaking all the time.
Gee this mask is so comfortable. I hope all the tip help. I'll let you know.

I have a Sleep Weaver, but I don't use it. Air is meant to leak through the cloth, but I think a little too much air leaks through the cloth so it ends up blowing on my face. If it were a finer woven mesh it might work. Other than that, I like the way it feels and would use it.
