Don't have a picture, but if you just look at rested gal's picture above you'll see a wall lamp just to the right of the bed. Our lamp is centered over our bed. The lamp swivels from side to side. When ready for sleep, I swing the lamp to my side which already has my hose attached with a loop of elastic from the lamp rod. Works great. I guess the scrungie would be more aesthetically pleasing.

Thanks Ester, My Swift mask bothered me more than my wife, she can sleep thru a thunder storm and not wake up, the new mask is definitly less noisy, did you modify yours? tried a couple of adjustments this afternoon, but not sleeping, so tonite I'll know if I accomplished anything.

Ed,
For over a year the only modification to my Aura (as it was called then) was to take up some of the excess length on the lower strap of the headgear and to bend the wires in the nasal pillow part of the mask. It was very stable (I toss and tumble a lot) and comfortable. The problem was the headgear really did a number on my hair at night. So I finally took the plunge and made my own setup.
I removed the headgear but kept the adjustment bar still attached to the hose. I then used the headgear (velcro stapping) of a Tiara SNAPP which is very minimal. It now looks a bit like the Optilife setup except that the hose and adjustment bar go over the head and attaches by velcro to the top stap, there is no strap going to the nasal pillows, and mine has a built in chin strap (covered by one of Pad-a-cheeks nice covers ). I find that I have a bit more leakage this way but it is comfy and the hair problem is not a problem anymore. But I think you said that hair was not a problem for you.

Hi Ester,
So far the mask is doing fine in its standard form, so I'm leaving it alone, I tried rubber bands just to see if and what results I would benifit, and didn't see any. I can see where people with long hair would not like the head gear, I seem to not have this problem, a few years ago I had the barber give me a crew cut, shortly after the crew started bailing out. I read all the good tips on reconstructing the head gear and maybe down the road I will try that if I'm having problems. I will keep you in touch, stay well and peace be yours.

I thought I'd chime in here as a Breeze user. I've used the Breeze for oh, about 6 years or so. One of my dogs has eaten 3 of them over the years, but this last one is from Puritan Bennette instead of Malincroft. I guess they bought them out. In any case, this latest version from PB just plain sucks. The adjustments don't stay, and the whole thing is noticeably looser than the last ones I've had before.
So, I just bought a Twilight NP to try out. Last night was it's first use and I have to say that I"m impressed! No leaks, No moving around, No waking up to re-tighten the mask, or otherwise adjust the fit. Plus, it vents out the top, so my wife finally can sleep without fear! The rubber band mod looks interesting, but I think I'll be able to do without. I was convinced that I would never need to try another brand, but I think I have a new favorite.

Hi Mike, Glad to hear you'r having good results from you T NP, I started out with the large pillow, and seems like a good fit, wonder how long the pillow lasts? In any case good luck, and restfull sleep to you.

Linda, honestly, try a hose cover for the little bit of your hose between the pillows and the main hose. You might be surprised how much this helps with rainout.

LOL, Mike, how funny. Like you, I was quite sure that the Twilight NP (was called the Aura when it first came out) was just another mask to try and set aside. Figured I'd be right back to my beloved Breeze. The Twilight NP was sooooo nice, however, I never looked back. Been using the Twilight NP for the past couple of years now. I guess it shouldn't have been such a surprise to me that I liked it so well, as the same designer who worked on the original Breeze was a designer of the Twilight NP. Hope it continues to do well for you, too.

to sum up reaction for first night- very favorable!!
most impressed with how easy to sleep on my side- did not move-
did not leak- it was comfortable and quiet- my wife was very impressed-
she actually was able to cuddle up without the swift exhaust blowing her away-
[ dont get me wrong- I will use swift also- but this is probably better]
also- I got new remstar auto - same machine but from new DME- it was new- didnt smell like cigs and was WAY quieter-
so all in all- a very pleasant experience-
my advice to new hoseheads- keep reading here to learn- learn the lingo to use with the docs- DMEs and insurance companies and dont give up- just keep on asking and learning and use that info on the providers
its our life- do all you can packer

well- now I know the down side of the twilight np- I about drowned !
first time I have experienced the rainout problem- staying in hotel-
dont think it is very cold or warm or anything out of normal-
for whatever reason about 2 AM I wound up with a LOT of water in the mask- took it off- water dripping and blowing everywhere- not a good thing- the swift never did that- no matter where I was
so- I guess if one wants to use aura- you need to buy this heated hose- ??
where do I get one?-- I will go look - probably someone here sells or makes them- I really like aura- no leaks at all- easy side sleeping-- really like it but
water bath at 2 AM almost excludes it-- packer

You want the: Model Name: SleepZone Tube (USA /Canada UK/ EU Orders)
Model Number: SZ4
Price: $129.00
Yes, the Aura likes to rain out. It's worth getting over the hump though since it's so comfy.

I have to say, I have no intention of spending $129 on a heated hose...
My first rainout experience with the Twilight was just like you described it, Packer. I woke up sputtering, ripped off the mask, and frantically rubbed my nose to get all the water out. The next day I fashioned a fleece covering for the main hose, a smaller section for the 1/2 inch Twilight extension hose, and wrapped the nose pieces in strips of fleece. Be careful not to cover the exhaust holes, or even have material close to them. (The former is dangerous, the latter very noisy ) With my humidifier on setting 2, I rarely get rainout, and if I do get a little it doesn't bother me now that I know what it is. Also, make sure that your machine is lower than your hose. Either you can put the machine on the floor, or suspend the hose above your head. That helps, too. Of course, your mileage may vary.
Hope this helps,
Cathy

Dunno about other people, but I've been using the same set of nasal pillows with mine for about a year now. They're still doing fine.

RG, one year, can't complain about that. Still running stock issue, can see why you like this mask.

Hey all.. Well... I decided to get one of the Twilight NP interfaces .. Just to see what everyone's talking about.
I just received today and took a "practice" nap.. although I did not actually sleep.
First impression is " WOW" very comfortable on the Nose. A welcome change from the nasal mask I have been using. The nasal pillows seemed to stay in place and not leak .. that is... until I moved around. MAN is this headgear loose...even after tightening velcro straps all the way....So I see no possible way to tighten it for my head.
I knew from reading that I would have to "rig" the mask to fit properly.
So I read all about Rested Gals Panty Hose fix....I asked my wife for some.. she said sorry I don't have any PH.
So I guess I am off to store for some pantyhose. (Maybe my wife will go for me)
