I must have gotten ripped off because I paid about 4500.00 for a 700 series select comfort with all the extras. I live in NJ and purchased in Pa. about a year ago.

dieselgal, I have that same problem with temperpedic-type foam. Within a couple of hours, I'm burning up and keep waking up trying to find a cooler spot on the foam! I just can't sleep on these.

I've been considering a sleep number bed for years, so this thread as been very helpful!

[quote="Snoredog"][quote="blarg"]Only problem with those is that there's a bit of a "wall" in the middle where the gap between the two air pads are. They put foam there. It's not a huge problem, and it's not uncomfortable, but if CPAP didn't cure you of liking to cuddle while you sleep then the bed probably will.

Seriously (not being sarcastic ), I hope I didn't offend anybody when I mentioned the temperpedic foam making me burn up after a while. It really does. (I liked it so much otherwise, I even tried using a fan, but it didn't help.) But I have a friend who says he'd never sleep without it and doesn't make him hot at all. Body chemistry, maybe?

Pam,
I sure didn't take offense. Some people do get warm on the foam. We have a thin pillowtop on ours so we don't feel any heat. Not sure we would anyways as we both like to have covers around us. I just didn't realize we (tempurpedic people) had started a rumor about the "wall". My response was tongue in cheek about generalization. Like using "those people" or "your people"....it was all in fun dialogue.

Both my husband and I are on cpap, and we have a king size sleep number bed. We originally had full foam mattress, it was to hard. I needed something softer, I would wake up ever morning with a backache, so we packed that up and put it in storage. We just bought the sleep number bed about a year ago and would never sleep on anything else. They are great.
