I have the exact same problem and was about to give up. I can't wait to try your fix tonight!

Scott look at the Bravo too-I think it takes different sized pillows.

[quote="girlsaylor"] I took the 7-8 inch black velcro hose-handler from my bipap auto cord and opened it up, sticking the little machine velcro strip to both the top and back headgear bands, in the back, of the Optilife straps. It's easily adjusted to pull that top strap back where it would sit on a normal size head, and doesn't seem to pull the lower strap up.
Is there any way you could take a picture of this? I am not sure I understand how to set this fix up. I think my problem might be different....I have the same "hair problem", but for me the bottom strap slips UP. Maybe I need a different fix for that?!?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Girls,
Gee Wiz,
If I need a pair of pantyhose to make my little nasal mask work, I'm on to a better mask. I admire you ingenuity, but that's where I draw the line.

As for the under the nose rub, you might go to Wally-World and to the sewing area. Get you some commercial grade (better sticky stuff) velcro. Then go to the remnents basket and find a small piece of fleece material. Take these home and cut a piece of fleece large enough to pad the area under your nose. Sew the hook side of the velcro to this fleece (cut the velcro just a tad smaller than the fleece piece. Stick the loop side of the velcro to the plastic part of the mask that rubs. Shazam! You now have some soft padding that should relieve your stress.

SlapShot wrote:Does anyone have a problem with the plastic part of the mask under the nose? It really irritates me the way it touches my face between my nose and upper lip. I sometimes pull it away from my face so that it's not touching, but it's kind of hard to hold it and fall asleep at the same time.
I'm thinking I might have to do some engineering this weekend. I'm very inspired by the others here who have posted their modifications.
One thing I like about the Optilife is the fact that the angle of the pillows is adjustable. I've been able to find an angle that allows the pillows to fit my nostrils without touching my face.
