worked for me

I have the Fisher&Paykel HC SleepStyle200 and this stupid hidden key sequence worked for me. I looked in the manual, this functionality is not described anywhere in the manual. My Dr. gave me explicit permission to tinker with the pressure myself, so I am a little fustrated as to why the retailers would not let me adjust it myself. I'm not sure who I should direct my fustration to.

I was able to adjust my wife's Fisher & Payfel Sleepstyle 200 using the instructions given above. Holding down the "Ramp up" button and the "Right/Arrow" button at the same time and then going to the pressure screen. Using the "arrow up" button was able to increase the pressure to an exceptable level. Thanks for the assist.

The reason your CPAP pressures are prescribed by a doctor, AND the reason why you are not supposed to change pressures yourself is because you run the risk of giving yourself CENTRAL APNEAS rather than obstructive apneas.

DO YOUR HOMEWORK !!

If your pressure seems to high, then you you should try changing the EPR or C-FLex settings on your machine first. This will give you up to a 3cmH20 break on your exhalation so the machine won't feel like its suffocating you.
Any good Sleep Center or DME provider will explain this to you.

Do YOUR homework, you MORON!
Those old F&P don't have exhale relief capabilities, so your argument about the "break on your exhalation" is bogus.
And, Central Apneas only occur IF the person is susceptible to them. But, they're just another form of apneas (lack of breathing for 10 seconds or more) and a few of them are (for all intents and purposes) no big deal.

Thanks. CPAP supplier won't change without specific instructions from doc, doc's office doesn't return calls. Wanted to have ability to adjust cuz going to high altitude. After much searching, found your tip. Works great. Thank you, thank you, thank you. These medical people make it sound like it's such a big deal. And like another post, you saved me a useless trip to the med provider, especially since I don't drive!

Possible remedies are........turn down your HH setting.......or, if you're wearing a nasal mask, maybe you're losing your therapy air out your mouth while you're sleeping (which also causes more water loss/usage). And, if that's the case, keep your mouth shut.

Thanks for the information on adjusting my machine. I had spoke to the place where got the machine at and they said the only way I could change the pressure war to do a new sleep study to see if I needed a higher pressure.. The way it was I felt like I was suffocating. Again, thanks again

Specifically, which one? The "SleepStyle 200" name has been used for many years as a specific machine name and as a "series" of machine models.

For many of them, you hold down the > (right pointing arrow "Mode" button) and the cmH20 button simultaneously for three seconds. Then you use the up ^ and down v buttons to change settings.

I am having trouble adjusting the pressure, the normal ways do not work and on the back of my machine there is a small square opening where someone said you can adjust the setting here, but it appears you need some type of specific device in order to make the changes.

Any help?

Because of the PHILIPS Dreamstation recall I am forced to go back and use my old Fisher Paykel Sleep Series 600.
But when I breathe out, the relief pressure seems to be rather high compared to the Dreamstation which has no resistance at all!
Is there any way this can be adjusted on this machine?
