The forum has given me error messages nearly every time I try to reply to a post so I didn't sign in just now. Sorry the previous message is from Karyl (dustbunny).
The jury is still out

I think that question was for me. Well, I had two good nights then last night was bad partly due to other causes. Too much Pepsi had me restless, and I must be fighting something because I kept alternating from sweats to chills. During hot spells I kept my feet stuck out from under the covers over the side of the bed, so I wasn't exposed to the soap much of the night. Ended up with 7 hours on my machine, but they were long miserable ones. Will try again tonight. Would like to see about a week of good results before assuming very much. Will update again in a few days.

Oops. Yes Kathy, the question was for you. Thanks for your answer, I may just give it a try. Hope you sleep better tonight.

Hi folks, Well, at least my RLS hasn't woken me up in the middle of the night or kept me from sleeping. What I do know is that my mom spent 1/2 the night with me on Friday night and the other half on the floor because she got a knee in her rear twice and decided the floor looked a lot better
That was WITH the Ivory soap in place. Hey, at least my kicking didn't bother me

I wouldn't be so sure. You may not have woken up 100%, but like with OSA, this has to be causing arousals at least some of the time.

Two days with the Ivory was good, but the last one I was twitchy again. But then I found this on the floor:
I am pretty sure it was one of the 4 dogs, LOL. I guess I could match the teeth marks.

I fairly often get cramps in my feet at night (may be a result of the edema I can't get rid of). Saturday when I bought groceries, I got some Ivory Soap to try.
Saturday I felt the cramps starting as I put my feet on the bed so I moved them close to the soap and that was the end of the cramps. I've used one bar of the soap under the bottom sheet for the past four nights, and no cramps since.
I really didn't think it would work, so I'm pleasantly surprised. And....if it should be mind over matter, that's fine, too!
Will let you know if the cramps should start again. If you don't hear from me, you'll know it's still working.
Regards,
Alisha
p.s. I used to wake up several times during the night with my feet cramping and disturbing my sleep. I still wake up occasionally (to get my mask resealed), but my feet aren't cramping

This is amazing. I don't know if it IS a mind over matter situation or not, but hey--whatever works.
I am really hoping that it does help you folks with PLMD and RLS. I cannot imagine how annoying that must be. You deserve a simple solution.
Now, I wonder if the Ivory helps COLD feet? I've never been able to sleep if my feet have been cold, and if it stops leg/foot cramps, could the soap be increasing circulation?
If so, wouldn't that help cold feet? Just asking...I'm quite sure that some of you married men would be happy to know the answer to that question!

Are you sure that wasn't from sharp toe nails?
LOL

Janine - You should have been able to identify which of the 4 dogs snacked on your Ivory - the only one without stinky breath!
So far I've had 4 out of 5 decent nights. Not perfect, but better than tolerable.

Shockingly, they all have good breath. Maybe it was a pack job!

Did any of them blow bubbles when they took a drink of water?!?!?

Nope, no effects from any of them. Maybe we have rats!
