I've been using the Ivory soap under the sheet at the foot of my bed for a few weeks now.

I was having major cramps due to a medication I was taking, so I thought. In the daytime, I got a cramp in my side every time I turned to grab my seatbelt in the car, whenever I turned to look out the back window when backing the car, at night sitting on my recliner and in bed. I got off it and the same night started the Ivory soap (btw, unwrap the bar first! LOL).

I still have a night or two where I wake from a cramp, but it's nothing like it was. I figure getting off the medication was one part of helping, but I really think the soap helps, too.

Also, I read where taking a tsp of juice from a bottle of dill pickles will stop a cramp in its tracks. I tried that and it worked fair. I also read that if you take a tsp of mustard, that stops cramps. The mustard really works for me. No, I have no idea why/how they work, but for me, it's been a sleep saver.

Good luck!

Kajun

P.S.
Don't EVEN get me started on the benefits of apple cider vinegar! LOLOL

Linda sorry to hear about the bad night.

I would be wearry of the tonic water. I have heard it can have bad effects on people and may interfer with some medications.

I wonder what is up with the soap.

Linda I know you are taking medications so I would ask the pharamsits if you are allowed to take magnesium supplements with your type of medications and other ailments you may have.

I know Magnesium is good for leg cramps I do not know if it works for RLS.

Dieselgal, why do you not experiment with the Ivory soap and tell us what you think.

I would do it in a heartbeat, the good news is that I haven't had the problem since I slacked off the depression medication. Therefore, since I am not at this time having the problem I wouldn't be a good test subject.

Sandy, you are quite correct that Klonopin is not a drug to go cold turkey off of. It's a diazepam? drug and can cause seisures if not weaned off.

OK guys, you convinced me to try. I just came back from the store with 3 bars of Ivory and Kajun, I'll be sure to unwrap the bar first LOL.

I'll let you all know in a few days how it is...

During a PSG, sometimes it is difficult to distinguish plm's: If they are related to the apnea, snort arousal (respiratory related), or if they are true plm's. Sometimes this is more clear during a cpap titration because the movement form an apnea/arousal is eliminated.
