Is the CPAP mode on the Air Curve 11 same as Air Sense 11

Spoke to sleep doctor's office and the PA said to me why are you using a BiPAP, that's for special reasons what were the reasons that you got it. I told them I couldn't sleep during my first sleep study so I guess they gave me the easiest one to get used to which was the Sullivan BiPAP in 2003 and said it to 12 and 8. It really did wonders for me as I didn't have any trouble driving at night and I never fell asleep during the day like I did while watching Les mis and phantom of the Opera on Broadway.

So before running to get another machine I remember the air curve 11 has a CPAP mode and I just wonder if it's the same as using an air since 11 which would take down the pressure if not needed. Then it reminded her of the fact that the central apneas are high and if in fact they want me to get a new machine I don't want to go get an air sense 11 and if I still need to take care of the central apneas Medicare is never going to give me an air curve 11 ASV. And of course I told her if I need to try the CPAP mode on the air curve 11 I need them to give me the settings.

So, is the CPAP mode on both feet Air Curve 11 and the Air curve 11 ASV the same as the way the Air Sense 11 works.

Yes, all Air10 and Air11 series therapy machines offer the same basic CPAP therapy mode. For the Resmed machines CPAP mode is simply a preset fixed pressure delivery, with optional Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) comfort setting.

Thanks because they were talking about switching me to a CPAP which in 23 years I have never used only bypass and auto bypass. I would think that the newer air sense technology with bypass make it easier to use than they were 20 years ago.

Haha, No not for those and ironically My daughter found tickets in stores for both Les mis and Phantom And in both of them we had great seats like a fifth row orchestra in the middle. We got them for Last week in December That's probably why we got such good seats as the city emptying out and people went on vacation to the islands. However, we used to use TDF and TCKTS. As a matter of fact one of the best musicals I've ever seen, And of course you always need the qualifier except for West Side Story, was called "Kat in the Kings" about the entrance of doo-wop music in South Africa during apartheid. It made it very big in London but only lasted a couple weeks in Manhattan and I don't know why because it was really that good. And then I saw two friends of mine who were teachers and they also fell into this and they also believe that it was an incredible musical. The album is still available online and I listen to it on Apple Music and it must be in other places also. But yeah I think we used to pay $34 for TDY tickets It's a little different these days.

By the way so far so good. The last two days my AHIs were 7 and last night it was 3.4 with a 9 out of 20 mask seal and I didn't put last night's into My laptop to check the Oscar stats but sometimes I guess you do have to go backwards. Now let's hope it lasts. I think I would still like to try that CPAP mode and since the doctor released his PA was interested in trying it why not. It seems like people on CPAP do a little bit better than people on bypap.
