Definitely discuss your low oxygen with the doctor who prescribed the machine, and if he/she doesn't trust your oximeter, ask for a nightly oximetry recording with a professional oximeter.

Good idea. I'll read about obesity hypoventilation syndrome again. If I remember right, it doesn't fit me as a diagnosis: I can breathe well enough to burn as many calories-per-hour as anyone else at the gym, and OHS sounded completely incompatible with that. But it might provide some insight.
