Finally got a new machine

I had a Dream Station 2, which was sent as a replacement for recalled machine. I used the "dinosaur" when I learned of the recall until the new one came; about ten weeks.

Finally, I got an AirSense Autoset 11! I'm starting it tonight.

What did everybody else do who switched and use OSCAR? Did you create a new profile, or did you continue to use the old one?

You can do either one. My OSCAR file has data from three different machines on it.

The maintainers of OSCAR suggest: you can keep the same profile if the new machine is the same manufacturer as the previous one (ie ResMed AirSense 10, ResMed AirCurve 11). But change profiles, if the new machine is a different manufacturer (Respironics, ResMed).

Data problems can occur when two different manufacturer devices are in the same profile, because of the different values and formats used.

I had the DS1 which was replaced with a DS2. I also have an AS10 as a backup machine which I use occasionally. I have three profiles in OSCAR. The old DS1 is gone, but it's good to have the old data for reference.
