This is my first post please let me know if I am missing anything.
Thank you for your time. I recently acquired a resmed Aircurve 10 vauto to try and help with my discomfort with my previous Airsense 10 cpap. I have been playing around with the settings and although last night I achieved a lower AHI of 1.88 (when compared to the previous week's average of around 5)I keep waking up drowsy and groggy.
It's also been difficult for me to sleep a full night uninterrupted for months now (I probably should have posted earlier). I have been dealing with aerophagia and although I use a chinstrap and mouth tape I keep burping which may be causing the leaks shown in my chart. I do try using a wedge pillow with mixed success.
Every time I try to change the settings something new seems to pop up and I can't find a balance.
Struggling with Bipap
Re: Struggling with Bipap
Last night I tried lowering the IPAP and EPAP pressure to something more comfortable (13/8.6 with PS of 4.4) but my AHI went back up to 6.43.
Clear airways seem like they are dominating, however if I reduce PS too much then the uncomfortable aerophagia kicks back in?
At the very least I got 7+ hours of sleep last night.
