I started using my CPAP just this January. I have had two different types of masks. My first was an AirFit P10 but even the XS was too big for my face. I couldn’t keep it on for more than a few hours. I then tried the AirFit N30i (small) and was able to get a full night with it. But the silicone on the cushion was making my face sore. I went back to my equipment provider just a few days later and picked up the AirTouch N30i because the cushion has a cloth seal which is so much better. However, my issue now is that this mask doesn’t cone with a small cushion. Only SW and M (in my package). The SW wasn’t comfortable as it doesn’t cradle my nose and let air in/out. I tried the M cushion last night and had a much better sleep but because it’s bigger, the connection where the cushion and headgear meet has made my face sore. I removed my mask shortly after 7 am this morning and my face is still sore from the mask after 5pm.
I looked up using moleskin and found this forum and someone said it worked but only for so long. I’m at an impasse. My equipment provider isn’t much help and my husband (who has work a CPAP full mask for years) is frustrated that I keep search for alternatives and can’t find something that works. He wants the equipment provider to help but again they’re not helpful. They are just there to hand you what you want and log it into the account.
Has anyone else dealt with this problem or have any suggestions?
Small face and mask issues
Re: Small face and mask issues
There are masks specifically for children. Some are decorated like elephants and giraffes, but there are plain ones as well. Perhaps one of those would work better for you.
It looks like the only small cushions for the Air Touch n30i are small/wide (I'm sure someone will correct me if wrong).

Yes the only small are SW. I’ve been using the medium but the joints from the cushion to the frame have been rubbing my face. I tried paper medical tape and that worked a little. I just got some moleskin tonight to also try.Janknitz wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2025 3:23 pmThere are masks specifically for children. I wish my DME was more helpful rather than just providing what I’d ordered and actually listen and make suggestions but they’re not really eager to open packages just to try on and they don’t have a bunch for people to be able to touch and feel first. The only good thing is that I don’t have to pay for replacements if what I get doesn’t really work for me. I’m doing okay with this setup, I just wish it was more comfortable. I’ve seen people on Etsy who make covers to go over cushions. Just don’t want to invest in yet another thing which isn’t proven to work.
Re: Small face and mask issues
You might take a look at the F & P Nova Micro nasal pillow mask.
It runs small for one thing so the small size with it is going to be smaller than the P10 XSmall size. It might work for you.
Below is a picture of some nasal masks.
The P10 is on the left and then the F & P Solo nasal pillow and then the F & P Nova Micro and then on the far right is the Eclipse that I use. (you might also look at the Eclipse because it's a one size fits all since there isn't anything like nasal pillows or headgear)
I don't know if you would do okay with the Nova or the Eclipse but it's something to look at.
Here's a link to the Nova Micro.....the actual pillow is probably half the size of the P10

Here's the picture of the 4 masks.
