[Resolved] Where can I find info on using the OSCAR app?

Post by Skuddle » Wed Dec 25, 2024 12:14 pm

See title.

I'm mainly interested in knowing how my PC obtains the info that OSCAR uses. I've finished my first month with my AirSense 10 and I don't want to disrupt any data that's being transmitted to MyAir.

To use Oscar you need an SD Card in your CPAP. All your data is on the card. Whenever you want to download the data, you remove the card from the CPAP and put it in your computer where you download the data to Oscar. (You should have already loaded the Oscar program into your computer.) This has no bearing on your MyAir app on your phone. That data is transmitted daily via cellular modem to Resmed. Resmed then formats it and sends it to your phone.

LSAT has pretty much summed it up. just wanted to add that the software people who produce oscar (and it's predecessor sleepyhead) are very well aware of myair and wouldn't do anything to interfere with that program.

take a look at the tutorial above the main forum titled "announcements". there's a post there that will help you with the oscar program.

good luck!

I'm guessing that you are not very proficient with a PC. If so, I suggest using a free account at SleepHQ.com. It's so much easier than OSCAR.

Search OSCAR tutorial. A site with a guide for OSCAR should appear.

Your comments on this forum are pretty good; however, your guesswork stinks. You might consider keeping it to yourself.

@lSAT, ejbpesca, & zonker...

Thanks for the info, that's just what I was looking for!

I would guess again that anyone who makes a post like your OP and then makes a follow-up using "@" to address members is not at all proficient with a PC. I changed my first "not very proficient" to "not at all proficient".

I have no plans to "keep it to myself".

BTW, Mr. Proficient, the second announcement at the top of the page clearly states it is an OSCAR tutorial. Want to reconsider using SleepHQ.com? Your choice.
