Safe to soak AirSense 10's electric motor in isopropyl alcohol?

"Alcohol is not necessarily safe for any electric motor." Although he said "risky", Adventures with CPAP sopped an electric motor in propan-2-ol. Then he ran the motor for an hour successfully. But is this safe?

The very first thing that I can see happening, after soaking the motor in alcohol, is that any lubricant in the motor's bearings is going to be washed away. This means that the motor is NOT going to be long for this world. It'll run for a while but as soon as those bearings start to heat up, it's the beginning of the end.

Not a good idea but that never stopped people before.

Just get a new motor.
The most I EVER might do is to spray (very carefully) some contact cleaner. And really what is the point? Yes it is dirt, but if it's plastered against the motor housing and stays there. Then what is problem?
